The news is from Turkey, where a little shepherd, an 11
years old girl, Hamdü Sena Bilgin saved two lives with her dog that
helped her in a rescue operation.
Hamdü Sena Bilgin
She lives in Rize, Turkey. Her parents are farmer and
run small farm. The family is also involve in dairy farming as the raise goats
for their milk.
Tommy
Hamdü and her dog Tommy look after these goats. Tommy has
been with her for a year.
Both of them are goatherds, they protect and
guide.
The Incident
One day Hamdu and
Tommy was herding their goats on a snowy hillside, far away from the home, she
found one of the animal in labor.
Newborn
She did not want them to leave behind because of
thread of their lives and it would also be a financially loss. Fortunately, it
was done and newborn come without any problem. She found that they both cannot
walk to home on their own and she decided to help them in reaching home.
Rescue Strategy
She return to home with rest of the herd, took two
backpacks and reached both of them. She placed baby goat in Tommy’s backpack
and carry mother goat herself. Finally the team succeeded to rescue them.
