A woman US marine will be soon recognized as a man in US
military. The soldier from Tulsa, Oklahoma named Lance Corporal Aaron Wixson
joined US marine when he was a lady in 2014. Wixson is diagnosed gender
dysphoria, in which a person identifies different from original gender born
with. The soldier informed his command that he is a transgender and requested
for hormone treatment in military healthcare system.
With the new policy in military Wixson can change his gender
and change his name and gender in US military record database. Wixson is now
going to remove his breast before hormone treatment. He said I am really grateful
to serve US military as a transgender.
The Department of Defense opposed a ban over transgender
serving military but now ban is lifted. Wixson was born as a girl but he
suffered because of his wish to live as a boy. But now his dream is going to
become true. He said his family and military colleagues are supporting him in
his decision of change gender.
